e-editiones is an international non-profit society. We help digital scholarly editions remain accessible and maintained for the long term:
- by promoting TEI, the de-facto standard for encoding humanities texts;
- by stewarding the open source tools that implement it — most notably TEI Publisher, Roaster and related libraries;
- by running community workshops, meetings, documentation and onboarding resources for new edition projects;
- by pooling resources for features and fixes that no single project can fund alone.
The society brings together edition projects, libraries, archives, scholars and developers from across Europe and beyond.
e-editiones is a registered Swiss non-profit (Verein) with cantonal tax-exempt status.
